Terms of use
Friendly is provided by Friendly Banc Corp, an Illinois corporation.
What Friendly does
Friendly provides technology, loan documentation, payment coordination, servicing, and records for loans between people and businesses who know each other. Friendly is not a lender or a bank. A lender, called a Patron in the platform, provides the money and decides whether to lend. A borrower, called a Member, decides whether to accept the offered terms.
Creating an account does not approve a loan, establish a bank account, or authorize a transfer. Bank accounts and other provider services have their own eligibility requirements, notices, and agreements.
Your account and information
Provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and act only for yourself or an organization you are authorized to represent. Protect your sign-in credentials and use the security measures required for your account. Report suspected unauthorized access through the support options available in your account.
Do not use Friendly to misrepresent an identity or relationship, submit misleading financial information, bypass access controls, or carry out unlawful activity. Access to another person’s records requires the appropriate authorization.
Lending decisions and agreed terms
The lender assesses the request and the borrower’s ability to repay. Information, reference rates, and summaries supplied through Friendly support that review; they are not a guarantee of repayment or a decision on the lender’s behalf.
The lender and borrower agree on the amount, interest rate, repayment schedule, and allocation of fees. Review the final agreement and required disclosures before signing. The signed loan agreement governs the loan; an example or estimate on the marketing website does not replace it.
Fees and money movement
Friendly’s documentation and servicing charges are presented with the proposed loan. The lender and borrower review the charges, who pays them, and their effect on the repayment schedule before proceeding.
Transfers and repayments require the applicable account checks, instructions, and authorizations. A request or an unsigned proposal does not itself move money. Processing, returns, and availability depend on the applicable banking and payment arrangements.
Repayment and changes
Friendly keeps loan records and coordinates scheduled payments and servicing communications. Borrowers remain responsible for their repayment obligations. Lenders bear the risk of late payments, missed payments, and loss of principal.
A request for help or different terms does not change the existing agreement. The lender reviews a proposed change, the parties give the required agreement and authorization, and Friendly records the revised terms. Existing obligations continue until an agreed change takes effect.
Documents, privacy, and electronic signatures
The Privacy notice describes information used and shared in providing the service. Acknowledging that notice does not authorize a credit inquiry, debit, or other transaction.
Electronic signature and delivery consent is requested in the applicable signing flow. Account creation alone is not a loan signature or payment authorization. Keep copies of your agreements and records for your own use.
Your professional advice
Friendly supplies documentation, records, and reference information. It does not provide your personal legal, tax, or investment advice. Applicable Federal Rate information can help identify a rate that needs further review; it does not determine all tax consequences of your arrangement. Consult your own advisor about your circumstances.
Account access and outstanding obligations
Account access may be restricted when needed to address suspected misuse, security concerns, verification requirements, or applicable obligations. An access restriction, account closure, or removal of the app does not cancel an existing loan or erase records that must be retained.
Separate signed loan, servicing, and banking agreements continue to govern their respective services.
